Mail “from you” that you never sent?

That can be spoofing (forged From) or a real compromised mailbox. First check the public domain defenses — no login needed.

Shows among other things whether DMARC is missing — the switch that makes spoofing harder.

Two different problems

  • Spoofed sender — often without access to your account; mainly fixed with DMARC.
  • Hacked mailbox — stolen password/session; then MFA, reset, inbox rules, audit — DNS alone is not enough.
